What we're doing to provide driving tests across Great Britain, and make sure that the test continues to assess the skills people need to help them through a lifetime of safe driving.
There's one week to go before the public consultation on improving the car driving test closes. So far we've had over 2,800 responses to the consultation and lots of feedback on my previous blog post, and on Facebook and Twitter.
Last August, Phil Lloyd shared with you what we were doing as an agency to reduce waiting times. Since then, we’ve recruited and trained more examiners and looked at other ways where we can have a more positive impact.

We run the @DVSA_HelpMe account which can keep you up to date on practical driving tests being cancelled because of bad weather.
We understand that it’s frustrating for you and your pupil when we have to cancel driving tests because of bad weather; however, we only cancel if it’s absolutely essential.
Earlier this year, DVSA began to trial a new version of the practical driving test.
You may have noticed that waiting times for a driving test have gone up recently in some areas. We’re working hard to bring waiting times down in those areas.
