Christian Oreschnick

I joined DVSA after a 25-year career in retail, where I held a range of senior leadership roles focused on operations, transformation and customer delivery at scale.

I started at DVSA as a Driver Operations Manager, overseeing driving test delivery across the North West of England and Wales. This gave me a strong understanding of our testing services and the operational and capacity challenges we face.

In 2025, I moved into my current role as Senior Responsible Owner for the Driver Waiting Times Initiative (DWTI) programme. I lead a cross‑organisation effort to reduce waiting times and improve access to services, bringing together operational delivery, recruitment and training, digital reform, and enforcement.

My focus is on delivering sustainable improvements that increase capacity, tackle misuse, and create a fairer, more efficient system for learners while strengthening service resilience for DVSA.
